Disposal instruction for old products:

The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive ensures that products are recycled using the best available treatment, recovery and recycling techniques to ensure human health and high environmental protection.

Do not dispose of your old product in your general household waste bin

Dispose of your old product according to your local authority’s recycling procedure.

For further information contact your local authority.

Alternatively take your complete old product back to the retailer where you purchased it from. They should accept it as required by WEEE directive.


Before connecting the appliance check that the voltage indicated on the type plate corresponds  to the mains voltage in your home.

Do not leave appliance unattended while it is operating or plugged in.

Do not use the appliance in humid areas, such as bathrooms.

Do not use the appliance near or over water contained in baths, sinks or washbasins etc.

To avoid the hazard of being burnt ,do not let the heated surface come in to contact with the skin .

This appliance is not intended for use by children or persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience of knowledge unless they have been given supervision or instructions concerning the use of the appliance.

Use styling aids and spray products away from the iron. Never spray directly onto the appliance.

This appliance is only for its intended use. Do not use attachments not recommended by the manufacturer.

Always ensure that the hot plates do not come into contact with the supply cord.

Never operate this appliance if it has a damaged cord or plug, or if it has visible signs of damage. If it does not work properly or has been dropped in water, have the appliance tested and repaired by qualified electrician.

Do not leave the appliance exposed to sun, rain etc.

Do not allow the hot plates to touch textiles, plastic materials, or heat sensitive surfaces.

Unplug the appliance when not in use and before cleaning. The appliance is only completely switched off once it has been unplugged.

Always unplug the power cord from the plug, do not pull on the cord itself.

Never hang the appliance by the power cord.

In the case of manipulation, repairing or any modification of the appliance made by an unqualified individual or in the case of improper use, the warranty will be invalidated.


Before cleaning the unit disconnect from the mains.

Always unplug the appliance and allow to cool before cleaning.

The appliance must only be cleaned when it is cold. Use a soft cloth  to wipe the plates and handle.

Do not use abrasives or cleaning solutions .

Take great care never to dip the unit in water or any other liquid .

Should liquid happen to penetrate the appliance's casing, unplug the appliance immediately and have it repaired by a qualified electrician.


Unplug the appliance, let it cool and store it in its box or in a dry place.

The cord should be loosely coiled, never wrap it tightly around the unit.

Do not subject the cord to any stress where it enters the handle as it could cause the cord to fray and possibly break.


This Kokou appliance has been manufactured to the highest quality standards and will provide you with effective, reliable service when used in accordance with the instructions.
However in the unlikely event of this appliance proving defective it is warranted against defects in materials and workmanship for period of twelve (12) months from the date of purchase. This warranty does not cover damages caused by misuse, neglect or accident.
Should this product become defective during the warranty period, return the product in its original packaging together with your proof of purchase to the address at the back of this booklet.. This guarantee in no way affects your rights under the statutory law in the UK.
